What I have learned from this semester are.....

Hi, my class. This semester is my first semester is the US.. and it will be my last semester too.. because I got a JOB! (in LA) Weeeeeeeeee!!!! Lol
Anyway, I have learned a lot of experiences during this semester. Some of them are good ones, while some aren’t. The first thing that I learned was the pre-test on the orientation day isn’t efficient enough. They should provide the test that really judge students about in what level they are supposed to be.
Second thing I have learned is to make relationship with foreigner friends. It was tough for me in the first couple weeks, but I was fine after. I just realized that even we are from different countries, it really doesn’t matter!!!
Next thing I want to say is… I barely improve my English skills.. I was trying to figure out the reasons.. yet I haven’t known it. From what I guess is we only talk to foreigner friends, still we just keep talking and remembering in the wrong way. How come my English can be better? Anyway,at least I have learned that if I want to extremely improve my English skill, I should learn from NATIVE speakers. That’s the reason why I applied for internship! Hahaha!!!
Well, before this blog will be too long..  I should end it with the most important things in my mind. “I love and appreciate all of professors in ALP program.” They are all nice..!! Thanks and thanks and thanks for giving me my days.. Thanks to people who read till here.. I know it’s kinda long blog lol  Bye Bye my class!

In honor of Thanksgiving

In honor of thanksgiving, I would like to share the most 3 thankful things in my life. First, my parents, they are the best people in my life ever! I am so soooo thankful to God for giving them to me. Second, I am so thankful that God put me in this world, not the moon or Mars. God makes me have lots of friends who make my day. I can’t imagine what I am gonna be without friends. How can I live alone in this huge world!?... impossible……… The last important thing that I am really really thankful is my relatives in the US. Since my dad passed away, 2 years ago, they have taken care of me every single day. I can say they gave me a new life in the US. They made my day brighter than before. They taught me everything instead of my dad. They always stay by my side when I am in a bad situation. I can’t live without them.

If I could be a president of Thailand, I would.....

..... It seemes extremly impossible that I will be a president in someday, but if I could, I would fire all the current government officers!!! Have you ever thought about why Thailand is a forever developing country? The reason is just because of the corruption. I know every country has the corruption, yet my country has thousand times worse than other countries. So as I am a president, I am going to set the new policicy that helps to reduce the gap between rich and people. So, there will be no homeless people, and no super duper rich people who always use their money power to do anything illegally. I am not gonna make only a dream policy, but I will do it as best as I can!!!! :)

Who am I?

Hello guys! My name is Tanya Jayakom. You can just call me "Tanya". I'm from Bangkok, Thailand.  I'm very excited about this new class. This is my first semester here. I really enjoy it so far. I have been in the states for 10 months. My family lives here, Long Beach, and yeah I live with them. Everyday after my classes, I always go to practice dance with some of my friends. I am really into it!! By the way, this new year I'm going to start my intership. It's gonna be my first time working in the states though. Can't wait for that !!!

What is the most scary things that has ever happened to you?

The most scary thing in my life is when I was 16 years old. I had a chance to study in Japan for one year. It was my first time I had to stay away from my parents. In the first week everything was going fine, but the week after that there was an earthquake in my area, the very north of Japan. I had never ever experienced any earthquake in Thailand before. I remember at the time I thought it was the end of the world. What I thought at the time was about my family. I wouldn't have any chance to say goodbye to them, or even see their beautiful faces. I had been crying for an hour until my hostparents, who took care of me during that year, came to reassure me and explain to me that it wasn't harmful. But you know, even it's not scary for them, but it WAS for people who first experienced the earthquake Indeed, this scary thing will stuck in my memory forever and ever!
